Therapeutic Reflexology

Therapeutic Reflexology feet is a form of treatment that has  developed over many years from an empirical method to a specialized and very precise form of therapy.  Although this treatment is centered on the feet, it is much more than just a normal foot massage; it stimulates blood circulation from the feet and enhances the improvement and self-healing of all disrupted organ and tissue function in the body.

Therapeutic Reflexology is not an instant solution to chronic health problems for the duration of many years. All organs and tissue in the body, on specific pressure points, are reflected in the feet.

We, as Therapeutic Reflexologists, treat the feet with specific grips and pressure methods, without mechanical tools or other auxiliary aids to regulate, balance and harmonize the disrupted and weakened vital energy. Pain or discomfort experienced on certain pressure points is normal, and indicates to us where congestion occurs and which areas require additional treatment. People differ, and so will their reactions to Reflexology treatment differ. Generally the treatment is very pleasurable and the patient can experience a feeling of relaxation and tranquility.

Anyone can benefit from reflexology treatments, regardless of age or sex. However caution is taken with:Those suffering from thrombosis or internal bleeding as blood circulation could increase; Insulin-dependent diabetics as stimulation of the pancreas could increase insulin levels; pregnant females (particularly during the first trimester); Sufferers of phlebitis, lymphatic cancer, leukemia, osteoporosis and epilepsy.

The effects of Reflexology may not be capable of removing the cause of terminal diseases, such as cancer, multiple sclerosis and Aids, but the person can be made more comfortable and the pain bearable. It can significantly improve the patient’s general condition, activate excretory organs, stimulate the respiratory system and assist in better control of the bladder and bowels. In this way, reflexology treatments can improve the quality of life.
